The Stanford Center for Precision Mental Health and Wellness (PMHW) within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Science is focused on developing precision medicine approaches for mental health spanning mood, anxiety and attention disorders. Our research is centered on the goal of developing new brain-based classifications that inform an understanding of the individual and subsequent treatment selection.
PMHW is seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Research Coordinator Associate in Precision Psychiatry and Neuroimaging to execute precision medicine in mental health studies, The Clinical Research Coordinator Associate in Precision Psychiatry and Neuroimaging will have the opportunity to make innovative contributions to the rapidly emerging field of precision medicine in mental health. The position will be based within the Center's Personalized and Translational Neuroscience lab (PanLab) and will be fully in-person. The PanLab genuinely believes "Neuroscience is Personal." The PanLab is a precision psychiatry and clinical translational neuroscience research group that aims to use brain imaging approaches to improve our understanding and treatment of mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. The CRCA would perform duties involved with data processing as well as the recruitment and assessment of study subjects. Specifically, the focus of the Clinical Research Coordinator Associate will be to lead ongoing therapeutic treatment studies that match fMRI-based biotypes to personalized treatments, and use fMRI to understand the brain basis of responses to new exploratory treatments. The Clinical Research Coordinator Associate will schedule testing sessions, perform subject testing using functional neuroimaging along with symptom and behavioral assessments. Study subjects will include people experiencing depression and associated conditions such as anxiety and PTSD. The Clinical Research Coordinator Associate must also be able to clearly explain the study procedures to subjects. The position requires a strong sense of accountability for implementing research activities, including meeting project deadlines, communicating with project collaborators offsite, and training other staff as needed.
