We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead our clinical teams in delivering exceptional patient care. As the CMO, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other senior leaders. You will play a crucial role in shaping clinical strategies, enhancing patient care, and fostering a culture of excellence in medical services. This position requires a balance of hands-on patient care, administrative leadership, and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
What You'll Do
Serve as the clinical spokesperson, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.
Provide leadership for clinical teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
Oversee medical operations, including utilization management, population health, clinician engagement, safety, and quality initiatives.
Collaborate with the CEO, COO, and CIO to optimize Electronic Health Record (EHR) and IT systems.
Ensure compliance with medical regulations, policies, and procedures.
Conduct patient consultations, perform physical examinations, order tests, and prescribe treatments.
Provide oversight for health maintenance programs, immunizations, and preventative care initiatives.
Lead efforts in patient-centered, cost-effective primary care and healthcare accessibility.
Mentor and support medical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Represent the organization in medical partnerships, public health initiatives, and external collaborations.
What We're Looking For
MD or DO license to practice in Massachusetts (active and in good standing).
DEA and State Controlled Substance certification.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience in public health, community clinics, or primary care preferred.
Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is highly desirable.
Strong experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
Knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and strategic healthcare operations.
Valid Massachusetts Driver's License and willingness to travel as needed.
