Job Description
We're looking for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide clinical leadership and guide patient care teams in delivering high-quality healthcare. This role is a great opportunity for a compassionate and strategic leader who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and driving excellence in medical services.
The CMO will collaborate closely with the executive team to shape clinical policies, enhance patient-centered care, and lead a team of dedicated medical professionals. This role plays a key part in ensuring that healthcare services are efficient, accessible, and focused on both individual patient needs and overall community health.
What You'll Do
Serve as the clinical leader and advocate for medical teams, ensuring that healthcare services meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Oversee physicians, nurse practitioners, and other licensed medical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement clinical programs, patient engagement initiatives, and strategic health goals.
Guide the utilization management, population health, and wellness strategies to improve patient outcomes.
Provide direct patient care, including consultations, physical exams, treatment planning, and referrals as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, medical protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Support ongoing development as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and promote best practices in primary care.
Lead efforts in electronic health record (EHR) optimization to improve efficiency and patient experience.
Represent the organization as a clinical spokesperson, building relationships with healthcare partners and community organizations.
Stay informed about emerging healthcare trends and implement innovative solutions to enhance medical services.
What You'll Need
MD or DO license in the state of Massachusetts.
DEA and State Controlled Substance certification (or eligibility).
Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in a clinical setting.
Experience in public health, community clinics, or as a Medical Director is preferred.
Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (preferred).
Valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
Strong understanding of electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
A track record of driving clinical improvements and managing budgets effectively.
