Position overview

As a Chemical Operator at allnex, you will be part of our manufacturing teams who are safely producing our products in an environmentally responsible manner. This includes but is not limited to taking samples from our production lines, handling raw materials, filling our products into their different packages and handling waste materials. Will also be responsible to charging raw materials to mixing vessels, monitoring key parameters of the chemical process. Successful candidates will be required to work shifts and contribute on a team in a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• The safe operation of the unit, compliance with health requirements and protection of the environment.
• Ensuring production of material meets strict Quality standards.
• Preparing raw materials, charging the mixing vessel.
• Taking samples during the manufacturing process.
• Transferring our final products into their packages (e.g. 50-pound bags, super sacks or others).
• Ensuring that all waste generated on shift is properly labeled and stored.

Required skills and experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment / chemical process knowledge preferred.
• A forklift license is highly preferred.
• Fluent English skills, required.

 

Physical Requirements

• Long periods of standing.
• Walking and sitting.
• Ability to wear certified safety equipment as required.
• Lifting capability of up to 50 pounds/23kg.
• Climbing stairs.
• Repetitive movements among others.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• SAP knowledge preferred.
• Microsoft Office preferred.
