Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
- Health Monitoring: Regularly track vital signs and promptly report any changes to healthcare providers to maintain the highest standards of care.
- Medication Assistance: Aid in the precise administration of medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to schedules and dosages.
- Nutritional Support: Assist with meal preparation and feeding, catering to any special dietary needs and following established guidelines.
- Activity Engagement: Encourage and facilitate activities that promote physical and emotional development for pediatric patients.
- Family Support: Educate and support family members on effective care techniques and the use of medical equipment, empowering them to provide the best care.
- Documentation: Keep accurate, up-to-date records of care provided and any changes in patient conditions.
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to hygiene standards and proper use of medical equipment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Home Health Aide training certificate is necessary.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health care is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with children and families.
- Certifications: Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Covid Vaccine: Covid vaccination is required.
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Other: Ability to follow care plans, demonstrate empathy, and work both independently and as part of a team.
