Job Description

Job Title: Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technician

Duties:

1. Monitor and document blood pressure and hemodynamic changes during cardiac catheterizations.
2. Record intracardiac pressure readings as directed by the physician.
3. Ensure real-time data accuracy using specialized lab equipment and software.
4. Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot devices, including intra-aortic balloon pumps and dye injectors.
5. Assist with the selection and handling of procedural tools such as wires, balloons, and catheters.
6. Maintain a sterile field and prepare equipment for cardiac catheterization.
7. Operate power injectors for contrast dye applications and manage post-procedure data.
8. Support the healthcare team in transporting and positioning patients.
9. Stay updated on new cardiac technologies and apply them effectively in the lab.

Skills:

• Familiarity with STEMI and cardiogenic shock care.
• Strong knowledge of cath lab tools and equipment maintenance.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience may be considered.
