Description .Ride Control CAD Drafters work within Walt Disney Imagineering's Ride Studio on ride attraction project teams and are responsible for ride control system electrical/electronic equipment Computer Aided Design (CAD) and drafting activities. They work in a highly collaborative environment with multiple project teams.Location: Onsite Monday-Friday each week. Please note that we are NOT looking for engineers; we're looking for drafters. I Must have: 1)AutoCAD skills, 2) Experience with electrical control drawings We've pivoted to prioritizing AutoCAD drafting skills over knowledge of electronic/electrical control systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Responsibilities: - Interpret electrical control system design requirements and draft original layouts, iterative assembly and detail drawings, schematics, artwork, isometrics, and illustrations. - Review and integrate the technical requirements, technical accuracy, and design approach in conjunction with team engineers. - Draft electro-mechanical packaging of industrial control panels and enclosures based on high-level concepts from engineers. - Select components from WDI preferred manufacturers and draft design detail drawings and schematics for industrial control panels using AutoCAD. - Ensure compliance with UL508a and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, and dimension and tolerance practices per ANSI Y14.5 - Present and review drafted drawings with controls and mechanical engineers and attend meetings as needed. - Model equipment locations in a ride facility design using Revit. - Deliver production assembly drawings, detail drawings, bills of material, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment lists. - Prepare and release fully developed drawings into internal data management systems. - Participate in reviewing engineering drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and other discipline groups, for adherence to drafting standards. - Design multi-layer PCB assemblies based on engineering schematics. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.54 - $41.38/hr.
