Pay Range: $24.18to $36.27 

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

 

DATA GOVERNANCE

 

Business Analyst 1 – Data Governance - La Crosse, WI: Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Data Governance Office an opening for a full-time Business Analyst. This individual will be responsible for the support of the established Data Governance Program, assist with expansion of the program with new project initiatives in business and some technical capacity, assist with day-to-day management of Data Governance software application responsibilities, assist with Data Governance documentation and training materials, assist with data analysis, and promote data integrity & data quality throughout the enterprise.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with monitoring master data and researching issues or requested changes to support daily operations
  • Perform data cleansing, data quality auditing, and analysis
  • Assist with development, review, and changing of standards and procedures for the Data Governance specific tasks
  • Collaborate with various areas within the company to provide routine or ad-hoc reporting from Data Governance supported systems
  • Provide software system assistance for end users of Data Governance software applications
  • Documentation and training support for data governance procedures
  • Assist with project requirements gathering, business needs understanding, business process assessment and data impact of data related enterprise projects
  • Maintain existing metadata documentation for governed data including data dictionary, business glossary, ownership and stewardship
  • Work with Procurement, Food Safety Quality Assurance, Information Technology, Retail, and other key departments to review and ensure data governance compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Management, or Information Systems preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven track record of auditing, data quality, or similar level data analysis experience (1-3 years)
  • Basic knowledge of Data Governance concepts and principles
  • Knowledge of business standards and process documentation
  • Good understanding of master data and data quality best practices
  • Knowledge or the ability to learn internal policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance of governed data
  • High level of self-confidence
  • Independent thinking skills with the ability to recommend solutions to issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Accurate / detail oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Full understanding of Microsoft Office software (including SharePoint & One Drive) with intermediate Excel knowledge
  • Ability to be a team player and work effectively with other departments to achieve enterprise goals
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of multiple IT system as used across the enterprise including SAP, OnBase, Data Sync Database, Informatica MDM, and various other Data Governance applications

 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
