Senior Accountant

About the Company
Our client is an established and award-winning accounting and bookkeeping firm that supports small businesses across central Ohio. They handle their clients’ accounting operations, allowing business owners to focus on running their companies. Acting as an outsourced accounting team, they manage accounts payable, receivables, financial statements, month-end close, and provide clients with the financial insight needed for informed decision-making. The firm also collaborates with clients’ CPAs to ensure smooth tax preparation and compliance.

As the firm continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for small to midsized business clients, providing full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping services.
• Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll, and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and other reports to provide clients with clear financial insights.
• Advise and consult with clients to help them make informed financial decisions based on their accounting operations and reports.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to offer additional services that benefit clients and contribute to the firm’s growth.
• Work in the firm's office in Powell, OH, with occasional on-site client visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, with a strong understanding of AP, AR, invoicing, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Previous experience as a Senior Accountant, Controller, or Staff Accountant in a small business or accounting firm environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage multiple clients and accounting scenarios.
• Experience working directly with external clients or stakeholders, providing high-quality service and financial consulting.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A collaborative mindset with flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic team environment.
