Growing recreational activities (whale watching, deep sea fishing, cruises) businesses need independent book keeper/accounting professional. Responsible for general accounting & finance including: accounting, employee benefits, payroll, cash posting, billing & accounts payable. Responsible for routine month-end close procedures which entail preparation and the recording of journal entries. Identify control and/or process inefficiencies a propose enhancements to the current process striving for continuous improvement.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
Must have excellent communication skills.
Very organized and meticulous.
Must have good computer skills. (Quick Books Pro, Excel, etc)
Must have excellent knowledge of accounting and book keeping terminology.
Should be hardworking, independent and must have a strong work ethic.
Be available during regular working hours is preferred (9am-5pm). However in order to meet deadlines primarily during the summer months, he or she must be willing and able to be flexible concerning work hours.
An associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred but not required. Good references are vital.
