Salary: $23 / Hour Job Title: Behavioral Technician/Specialist Location: Central and north county San Diego Schedule: Monday to Friday, School Hours (with extension to Summer School) Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technician/Specialist to join our team at Amergis. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and other staff members to support the behavioral and academic needs of students. This role involves implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, monitoring student progress, and providing interventions to promote positive behaviors. Key Responsibilities: + Implement ABA strategies to support students with behavioral challenges. + Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized behavior plans. + Monitor and record student progress and behavior data. + Provide direct support and interventions to students during school hours and summer school. + Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed. + Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress. + Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions. Qualifications: + Must be over 18 years of age. + High school diploma or GED required. + Experience with ABA techniques and interventions. + CPR certification. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. + Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student development.
