Venture Together, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer residential, day, community habilitation, respite and employment services, an equestrian program as well as an integrated summer camp. EOE

Agency Requirements

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the agency’s insurance company driving standards. Must successfully participate in Orientation and pass all required testing. All staff must embrace the philosophies Venture Together adheres to including Person Centered Planning and the DSP Core Competencies.

BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTATION SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY

The primary role of the Behavior Intervention Specialist is the development, implementation, and monitoring of person-centered behavioral support plans.  The Behavior Intervention Specialist will also provide individual/ group counseling sessions, as per the needs of the individuals residing in Venture Together homes.  Staff training and support will also be required to ensure staff are successful in meeting the behavioral needs of our residential individuals.

The Behavior Intervention Specialist reports to the Director of Psychological Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Master’s degree in a clinical or treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology, or a related human services field.
• LMSW preferred
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent writing skills, good people skills, must be well organized, self-starter able to work with a minimal level of direct supervision.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets agency insurance company driving requirements.
• Must be able to drive and use own vehicle for business purposes.

Position # 374-34

Monday – Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (with some flexibility)

Salary: $27.50 per hour
