Pay: $18-19/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Shift may vary depending on business needs and weather)

Summary:

The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for operating the batch plant mixer and all components related to batching concrete while adhering to established procedures and ensuring quality standards are met.

Job Responsibilities:

• Batch concrete using  Egan Control systems.
• Operate computer systems to receive, analyze, and input data efficiently.
• Apply knowledge of mix design for batching processes.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials.
• Communicate equipment and system conditions to the relevant personnel.
• Operate a manual transmission concrete truck.
• Keep aggregate bins and cement silos full; report ordering needs to the Batch Plant Manager.
• Troubleshoot mixers and conveyors; report maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Manager.
• Climb silos for inventory checks and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with established safety protocols.
• Maintain continuity among teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team objectives by completing related tasks as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Capable of bending, climbing, stretching, twisting, and reaching.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat or cold).
• Ability to exert maximum force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work on feet for 8 to 12-hour shifts .
• Tolerance for working in a dusty environment.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights without fear
