Job Description
We are looking for an engaged customer service oriented individual interested in working in multiple roles within the Food & Beverage department - serving and bartering in the hotel's restaurant as well as working in Banquets as a Server, Bartender or a set up person.

Server & Bartender Responsibilities
- Approach all encounters with guest in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner
- Accurately perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork
- Comply at all times with SMI standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards
- Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests
- Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Banquets Responsibilities
- Set up rooms and function areas with designated tables, chairs, staging, dance floor and other equipment as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards
- Set up table linens, skirting and tabletop items (water pitchers, glasses, etc.) as specified by group and in accordance with departmental standards.
- Refresh banquet rooms/areas
- Breakdown function areas as scheduled in accordance to departmental procedures
- Accommodate guest requests for additions/changes to scheduled arrangements courteously and in accordance with departmental standards
- Anticipate and respond promptly to guests’ requests
- Promote positive guest relations
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features to respond accurately to any guest inquiry
- Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with departmental standards and function requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work and storage areas
- Performs any other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- One year prior bartending experience required
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent oral communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
