Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect / Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong AI/ML expertise and Retail domain experience to lead cloud modernization and solution architecture initiatives. This is a remote role supporting PST hours , and the consultant must work on our W2 for a long-term engagement.

• Architect and optimize secure, scalable AWS cloud solutions across enterprise environments.
• Lead cloud strategy, migration, and modernization efforts with a focus on AI/ML-driven solutions.
• Build and integrate AI/ML models and pipelines using AWS-native services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, etc.).
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, data science, and retail operations teams.
• Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with AWS Well-Architected Framework standards.
• Support CI/CD automation, IaC, and cloud security best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, data, and ML pipeline issues as the AWS technical SME.
• Document architecture standards, reference architectures, and solution roadmaps.

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on AWS architecture expertise.
• Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions using:
  • EC2, Lambda, API Gateway
  • VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
  • S3, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora
  • CloudFormation / Terraform
• Strong AI/ML experience , including building ML pipelines, deploying models, or using AWS ML/AI services.
• Retail domain experience is required experience supporting retail platforms, omnichannel systems, or high-volume customer environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, microservices, and automation best practices.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead architecture discussions.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent AWS certifications.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Kinesis, or large-scale data pipelines.
• Prior experience supporting distributed teams in PST time zone.
• Knowledge of cost optimization and multi-account governance (FinOps).

• Remote role; must be available to work PST hours
• W2 only No C2C/1099
• Long-term contract
