Automotive Locksmith Compensation and Benefits

• Pay – $20 - $30

Automotive Locksmith Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certificate from locksmith vocational training and apprenticeship, preferred
• 2+ years as Automotive Locksmith
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required
• Able to pass a drug test and background check
• Schedule Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, plus Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm** if required**

Experience – knowledge with special tools to open, install, repair, and replace a variety of lock systems and access control devices for cars.

Automotive Locksmith Responsibilities

• Purchasing and installing recommended locking devices.
• Creating duplicate keys using a key-cutting machine.
• Inspect, adjust, and repair locks, and security systems.
• Fix and maintain locking devices and security systems.
• Use hand and power tools, and special equipment to install, repair, and replace locks, security systems, and access control devices.
