The Department of Biology and the Program in Neuroscience at Brandeis University invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in academic year 2026-2027. The salary range for this position will be $100,000-$120,000. We seek an individual working in the broad areas of cellular to circuits neuroscience. We especially welcome applicants using interdisciplinary approaches to span levels of analyses, with an emphasis on mammalian systems. Candidates must demonstrate a record of original achievement and a commitment to excellence in research, training, and teaching. The research environment at Brandeis is highly collaborative both within and between departments, and we seek colleagues who will complement and extend our existing strengths. Brandeis offers the opportunity to perform world-class research in the setting of a small liberal arts university, and has a thriving Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program with internationally recognized faculty and an outstanding graduate program. The campus is located 7 miles from Boston, and is part of the vibrant research community of the greater Boston area.
